Dear Parents, Families and School Community:

It is with great pride that I write this letter of introduction to you as the principal of Whitman Elementary. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with rich traditions and a long-standing record of excellence.

Whitman is a dedicated school with a staff of highly qualified teachers. As a learning community, Whitman will strive to nurture and inspire success for all students with PRIDE. Our teachers work collaboratively to provide excellence in education and a well-rounded learning experience. We have a variety of before and after school activities and fun family nights.

For those of you who do not know me, I have been dedicated to the field of education for the past twelve years, serving students and families as a teacher, an Instructional Coach, and an Administrator. I have two children of my own who provide me with the challenge of seeing education from the Administrator and the parent perspective. I am so excited to bring my skills as an educational leader to Whitman to work with you as a partner in education to ensure every child’s success.

All of us at Whitman are eager and excited to have a great year! This year we are working as a team to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant and builds relationships. As your Principal, I want to motivate people to strive for their very best while being there to support them when they struggle. I believe a successful school is a community where students and staff come to school every day feeling safe and knowing they are in the right place. I am truly blessed to be the instructional leader of such an awesome school community. Go Wildcats!
